Contact the Out of Hours Service

In case of an emergency, and if the surgery is closed, please call NHS 24 on 111. NHS 24 triage all out of hour’s calls and if necessary pass the information to Forth Valley Out of Hours service for follow up. NHS24 and Forth Valley Out of Hours operate between 6pm and 8am Monday to Thursday, and weekends from 6pm on Friday until 8am Monday. During normal working hours contact the surgery number, or if it is life threatening telephone 999.

Book a home visit

If you require to see a Doctor urgently, and cannot come into the surgery, a home visit can be arranged. If possible, please ring before 10.00am to arrange this. The receptionist will need to ask for symptoms so that they can ascertain how urgent the visit is. Sometimes, if the receptionist thinks it may be life threatening, they will tell you to ring 999 whilst they pass the information to the GP.

Obtain telephone advice

Our Doctors and Practice Nurse are available to discuss results or ask advice. Please inform the receptionist as to the nature of the call, and they will arrange for the relevant person to ring you back some time during the day. This can be any time during the day, and it is always advisable to give all contactable telephone numbers.

Order repeat prescriptions

These can be requested by telephone, handing in the repeat prescription slip or via this website. Requests for medication can be made between 10am – 6pm. Prescriptions can be collected from the surgery or from a Pharmacy of your choice. Please allow 2 working days for all prescriptions.

Register with the practice

Ask at reception for an “Application to Register” form. The receptionist can help you fill this in ready for you to sign; she will also give you a New Patient Questionnaire to complete. You will then be offered an appointment to see the Practice Nurse or a Doctor for a New Patient medical. Please note that you will be registered with the Practice, not an individual Doctor. However, you may see whichever Doctor you wish when making an appointment.  You can also complete the on-line registration form on the website.
